- first thing we did were make sure we had the correct p.p.e (goggles, gloves and boots). Goggles to protect the eyes from the brick dust, gloves to protect your hands from the lime on the bricks and in the mortar, boots to protect your feet in case you were to drop a brick.
- the second thing we did was to build a platform for the mortar so that is was easier to get.
- then we marked out a straight line about 890mm long so that we could build it accurate
- then we layed the first set of brick and checked it, we checked it by using a level and a tape measure.we used the level to make sure that the bricks were in line and level and tape measure to keep checking that it was all with in 890mm with a 3mm tolerance.
- we then done the same with the second level consists of 3 bricks we made shore that we positioned the first of the three bricks half a brick length in.
- we done the same to the third row except we used 2 bricks once the were level we then place the last brick and leveled that and then took a picture.
- once we had taken the picture we then disassembled it one brick at a time.
- finaly we cleaned and made sure that the tools were all back.
