Risk assessment

         there is a risk of splinters to hand

We wear correct PPE. To prevent these risks from happening. To stop splinters getting in hand wear gloves so it will not get right in when handling wood. Then to prevent cuts from chisel hold well and keep away form hands. And we boots so that if you drop a tool your feet will be safe. We are working to the health and safety act of 1974.
Method statement


We first got our PPE on, and then we made our way to the area of the door lock and saw that the lock was broken and the area around split and making the lock loose. So we tock all out and strted to mark up were it will be for the new slot for it to sit in. After its all mark and correct we started to dril holes in with a machine flat bit and then chsile to make look good and fit easly. Then after marked were the holes for they handle and key hole will be drill it out each side half way and fixed all together. So that it will cose but we have to move the door fram plat up a little so it will lock and hold in place as well. We got the plate and moved and marked it corisponding to the lock and chisled and driled a bit so it locks well. Then finished any last touches and packed away (plus clearance).

                        We have inspected door lock and the area around is all split and loose, so will replace with a new lock and hole.
 
      So we will mark up were it shall be, it will be half way in then center of the door and then cut the are of the lock will fit in to.

      After chiseled and made it to a nice fit and then make the area for a nice flush fit and chiseled it out a little.
      Then marked were handle and keyhole will be and then assembled all together and then check for any other problems and then start to finish up and pack away (plus clearance).

the method statment

the first thing we done was to make sure that we had the correct PPE. we then assess what we had to do. we then maked to 45 degee angels one above the damages part of the door frame and one below. we then cut both the 45 degree angles useing the panel saw. we then cut a new pice of wood so that it would fit flush with the door frame. once that was done we then attached it useing 2" screw. we then cleaned and tidyed away.

There is a risk of breathing in the gypsum from the plaster board.
There is a risk of slipping while cutting the plaster board and inflickting injury to your self .
There is a tripping or slipping if the work area is not tidy.


We wear correct PPE. To prevent these risks from happening. To stop cuts to hand wear thick gloves and be careful when cutting as well. Then to stop the gypsum getting in lungs wear a dust mask or have a well ventilated room and last keep area clean for room to cut easily and to lower the risk of tripping or objects falling. We also worked to the Health and Safety Act 1974.
 
Method statment
 
the fist thing we did was to make sure we got the correct PPE on. we then looked over what needed doing. i then cutt the area that needed plaster boarding into a square. i the attached batten to the stud wall so that i could attach the plaster board. i then cut the plaster board to size and attached it two the wall with the dry wall screws makeing shure there is a 2 mm gap around the edges. i the screeded all around the edges. once that the plaster board was secure i the cleaned up and desposed of any non reusable materials.

Also wear gloves when putting in the hole and this will also cover form-getting splinters when handling post. Then wear boots to protect you form hitting with the post hole digger. Method statement


We first got our PPE on, and then we made our way to the area of were we shall be installing the posts to replace old posts you had on your fence. Then dug out the soil and made it 500mm deep so the posts will hold in place better. After it was all dug out and made hole wider with a crowbar and then we plumed the posts in hole and then pored in the postcrete per hole and add water and mix well will a good consistency and put soil back on top so it looks it was never there and then started to finish any last touches and packed away (plus clearance).

                        We have inspected fence posts and found the posts were losses and moved around too much so we shall replace the hole and make it stronger.

      So we first tock off fence panels and riles then removed post form hole and kept a safe area and tidy work place.

     Them we started to dig out existing postcrete and then started to make the same hole which was 500m deep.

      Then put the bag of postcrete in and tipped a bit of water will good mix and fill back up with soil and leave to set.

     After put all parts back together and then we checked everything was up to standard we then pack away (plus clearance).

We wear correct PPE to prevent these risks from happening.we wear the goggles to protect our eyes from bits of wood that chip up when using the chisle. we wore glove to protect our hands from splinstes and any prexisting nail in the wood. we wore steel toe capped boot to protect our feet from any falling objects and also due to people working around us with bricks. We also worked to the Health and Safety Act 1974.
 
Method statement
 

We first got our PPE on. we then made our way to the work area. once we were at the work area we then disposed of the existing panels and broken aris rail. The first thing we did was the make sure that the aris rails were cut to size. Then we chisled out the end of a new aris rail. we made sure that one side was smaller that the other so that it would slip into place easier. once that the aris rails were up we then attached the timber we left a 50 mm gap in between each of the pices of timber. we made sure that all the timber is level we done this while we were attaching the timber. once that all of the timber was attached we then tidyed up making sure that there were no problems. we then disposed of any non-reusable materials.
