risk assessment

There is a risk of breathing in the gypsum from the plaster board.
There is a risk of slipping while cutting the plaster board and inflickting injury to your self .
There is a tripping or slipping if the work area is not tidy.

We wear correct PPE. To prevent these risks from happening. To stop cuts to hand wear thick gloves and be careful when cutting as well. Then to stop the gypsum getting in lungs wear a dust mask or have a well ventilated room and last keep area clean for room to cut easily and to lower the risk of tripping or objects falling. We also worked to the Health and Safety Act 1974.

Method statment

the fist thing we did was to make sure we got the correct PPE on. we then looked over what needed doing. i then cutt the area that needed plaster boarding into a square. i the attached batten to the stud wall so that i could attach the plaster board. i then cut the plaster board to size and attached it two the wall with the dry wall screws makeing shure there is a 2 mm gap around the edges. i the screeded all around the edges. once that the plaster board was secure i the cleaned up and desposed of any non reusable materials.
