there is a risk of splinter goin into your hand and causeing infection.
there is a risk of falling objects.
there is a risk of cutting your hand while sawing.
We wear correct PPE. To prevent these risks from happening. To stop cuts to hands wear gloves so any wood or splinters may not get in. Then to stop objects falling and hitting you must wear boots so that your feet will be protected. We are working to the health and safety act of 1974.
the method statment
the first thing we done was to make sure that we had the correct PPE. we then assess what we had to do. we then maked to 45 degee angels one above the damages part of the door frame and one below. we then cut both the 45 degree angles useing the panel saw. we then cut a new pice of wood so that it would fit flush with the door frame. once that was done we then attached it useing 2" screw. we then cleaned and tidyed away.

Well done for completing a blog on repairing a door frame. In your quotation you wouldn't need to add the part from the method statement.
ReplyDeleteYour method statement is missing the part on chiseling out of damaged area.
Good blog, see if you can add a photo.
