Method statement
The first thing we have to do is to view the property and determent how much work is needed and the amount of time it will take. The next thing we will have to do is to get all the required materials and tools. We then will send a quote and if the client is happy we will then proceed with the work. We first got our PPE on, and then we made our way to the area of the window and looked at it. we then saw the window hinges are rusty. So we got the necessary tools and materials to do the window, then started to unscrew the rusted hinges off and disposed of them. After we disposed of the hinges of both sides we attached new hinges that will not suffer with rust. So we had to chisle out a bit of the frame so that the hing will sit flush. We then checked if functioned properly then pack away disposing of any non reusabl materials.

Dear
customer
We have inspected the window ironmongery on your window and we found that you hinges have rested and wood has expanded a little. So we started to loosen the hinges form window frame and tack it off safely then swopped the rusted hinges and put in new ones they were a bit bigger so re chiseled.
Then screwed then hinges back in places and then started on the window to just tack 1mm off each side to le it easily swing again.
Then fitted back on hinges and screwed in place and tested the swing, after refitted also a new handle on door because it was stiff and then after we checked everything and then pack away (plus clearance).
the cost will be around £60.00
the materials will cost around £10.00
the labour will be £40.00 for two people
fuel will be £10.00
total £60.00
