  1. we first was to make sure we were wearing the right P.P.E (goggles, steel toe capped boots and gloves) we wore goggle to protect our eyes from any foreign objects. we wore gloves to protect our hands from the brick dust and the lime in the bricks and in the pug. we wore steel toe capped boots to protect our feet from any falling objects.
  2. we then gatherd all the materials and tools needed ( wheel barrow, shovel, cement, sharp sand and ballast)
  3. we then built up the frame for the concrete block.
  4. then we mixed up the concrete untill nice and thick
  5. once it was all mixed up we then shoveled  in to the frame. when it was filled to top we then smoothed the top and taped the side to get the trapped air out so that when finished it will have no holes.
  6. we then waited for a few days untill hard. we then un screwed the frame and then we put the concrete blocks to the side.

man hole

  1. first thing we did was to make sure we were wearing the correct P.P.E (gloves, goggles and steel toe capped boots). We wore steel toe capped boots to protect our feet from any falling objects. we wore gloves to protect our hands from the brick dust and the lime that is on the bricks. we wore goggles to protect our eyes from any foreign objects.
  2. we then got all the tools and materials we needed ( bricks, pug, string and brick gage).

  5. once the wall was built we made sure that it was in tolerance. we then cleaned it up ready for the photo.
  6. once we had taken the photo we then had to take it down safely and make sure the bricks were cleaned after we used them.once the wall were taken down we had to checked the tools were put back in the right places and that every thing was clean.

English Bond

  1. first thing we did was to make sure we had the right equipment (P.P.E). we need goggles to protect our eyes from any bits of bricks or any pug that may have been accidentally flicked. we wore gloves to protect our hands from the lime in the pug and on the bricks.we wore steel toe capped boots to protect our feet in case we were to drop a brick while transporting them.
  2. the second the we did was to gather all the tools and equipment ( trovel, pug bricks etc..).
  3. then we marked out the lenght of the English bond and then began to lay the bricks. we used the marking out as a ruff gild line.
  4. once we had layed the first layer of bricks we made sure that they were all level because if they were not then the all of the wall would have been out and we would of had to start again.so each course we checked carefully.
  5. once the wall was built we then cleaned it up using a wire brush and making sure there are no holes in the wall. once we cleaned the wall we then took a photo for evidence.
