- first thing we did was to make sure we had the right equipment (P.P.E). we need goggles to protect our eyes from any bits of bricks or any pug that may have been accidentally flicked. we wore gloves to protect our hands from the lime in the pug and on the bricks.we wore steel toe capped boots to protect our feet in case we were to drop a brick while transporting them.
- the second the we did was to gather all the tools and equipment ( trovel, pug bricks etc..).
- then we marked out the lenght of the English bond and then began to lay the bricks. we used the marking out as a ruff gild line.
- once we had layed the first layer of bricks we made sure that they were all level because if they were not then the all of the wall would have been out and we would of had to start again.so each course we checked carefully.
- once the wall was built we then cleaned it up using a wire brush and making sure there are no holes in the wall. once we cleaned the wall we then took a photo for evidence.
- then we took down the wall safely and made sure that our work area was tidy and that all the tools were put back.
