3 - 4 - 5

  1. we first made sure we had our boots on and any other P.P.E required for we were going though the brick work shop.
  2. we then got all the materials and tools needed (string line, bricks and tap measure)
  3. we then went out side and measured 3 meters one and for the 4 meters another way so that it form a ruff right angle. we then measured it at an angle it had to be 5 meter if not then we just changed it a bit.
  4.  we then took it down and made sure everything was put back clean.
  5. finally we report that the job were done. 

leveling hill

  1. we first put on our boots because we had to go through the brick work shop.
  2. we then got the tools needed (level, tripod and measuring staff).
  3. we then put the level out side and set it up making sure it is in level.
  4. once it was all set up one person had to read the measurement through the scope while another had to hold the measuring staff up right their were also another person that would take down the measurements.
  5. once we had all the measurements then we had to put it in to a graph we done this by taking one result from the other.
  6. once we had done every think we then had to make sure every thing was clean and had been put back in the right place.
  7. finally we reported that the job were done.

lazer leveling

  1. we first put on our boots and any other P.P.E for we were going though the work shop.
  2. we then got the lazier and set it up we had to make sure that the lazier was perfectly level.
  3. we then measure the height of the lazier on the flat.
  4. then we went down the hill and got a stake and hammered it in to the ground and then we got the measuring stick with the beeper attached to it to see how much more we have to go down. we done this at least three times each 
  5. we then checked them and then took all the stakes out and put the lazier back  
  6. we then reported that the job were done

making concrete blocks

  1. we first was to make sure we were wearing the right P.P.E (goggles,steel toe capped boots and gloves) we wore goggle to protect our eyes from any foreign objects. we wore gloves to protect our hands from the brick dust and the lime in the bricks and in the pug. we wore steel toe capped boots to protect our feet from any falling objects.
  2. we then gatherd all the materials and tools needed ( wheel barrow, shovel, cement, sharp sand and ballast)   
  3. we then built up the frame for the concrete block.
  4. then we mixed up the concrete untill nice and thick
  5. once it was all mixed up we then shoveled  in to the frame. when it was filled to top we then smoothed the top and taped the side to get the trapped air out so that when finished it will have no holes.
  6. we then waited for a few days untill hard. we then un screwed the frame and then we put the concrete blocks to the side.

man hole

  1. first thing we did was to make sure we were wearing the correct P.P.E (gloves, goggles and steel toe capped boots). We wore steel toe capped boots to protect our feet from any falling objects. we wore gloves to protect our hands from the brick dust and the lime that is on the bricks. we wore goggles to protect our eyes from any foreign objects.
  2. we then got all the tools and materials we needed ( bricks, pug, string and brick gage).
  3. we then marked out the size of the man hole and drew an outline as a ruff guide line.
  4. we then began to lay the bricks 3 and a half one way and 2 and a half the other. once we and layed the first course we checked making sure that it was in tolerance. the we continued in that patten.
  5. once the wall was built we made sure that it was in tolerance. we then cleaned it up ready for the photo.
  6. once we had taken the photo we then had to take it down safely and make sure the bricks were cleaned after we used them.once the wall were taken down we had to checked the tools were put back in the right places and that every thing was clean.
  7.  we then reported that the job were done

English Bond

  1. first thing we did was to make sure we had the right equipment (P.P.E). we need goggles to protect our eyes from any bits of bricks or any pug that may have been accidentally flicked. we wore gloves to protect our hands from the lime in the pug and on the bricks.we wore steel toe capped boots to protect our feet in case we were to drop a brick while transporting them.  
  2. the second the we did was to gather all the tools and equipment ( trovel, pug bricks etc..). 
  3. then we marked out the lenght of the English bond and then began to lay the bricks. we used the marking out as a ruff gild line. 
  4. once we had layed the first layer of bricks we made sure that they were all level because if they were not then the all of the wall would have been out and we would of had to start again.so each course we checked carefully.
  5. once the wall was built we then cleaned it up using a wire brush and making sure there are no holes in the wall. once we cleaned the wall we then took a photo for evidence.
  6. then we took down the wall safely and made sure that our work area was tidy and that all the tools were put back.

12/9 brick wall fill in

  1. First thing we did was to make sure we had the correct P.P.E (gloves,steel toe capped boots and goggles). We wore steel toe cap boots to protect our feet in case we were to drop any heavy objects. We wore glove to protect our hand from any sharp bits of brick and of the lime on the bricks. We wore goggles to protect our eyes from any bits of brick dust or any pug that may have been flicked.
  2. Then we got all the equipment that we needed (level, trowel, bricks, etc).
  3. We then marked out the lenght of the wall so that we could use it as a ruff guild line. We also used it so that we new where to start to lay the bricks and where to finish. 
  4. We then began to build the wall 12 along and 9 up with an half brick every two course. we also kept on checking it as we were building it so that their would not be any fault in the wall.
  5. when we got to the 9th course up. We then made sure that it was all plum and done any necessary pointing.
  6. once we built the wall we then cleaned up any mess ready for the photo.
  7. once we had our photos taken we then had to take our wall down making sure we done it safely and that all the bricks were clean.
  8. we then cleaned the tools so that the next person could use them and made sure that the work area was all tidy.
  9. Finaly we reported that the job was complete.

small wall infill

  1. First we made sure that we had the correct P.P.E. (gloves, goggles and steel toe cap boots). Gloves to protect our hands from the lime in the pug and on the bricks as well as from the brick dust. We wore steel toe  cap boots to protect our feet in case we were to drop any bricks while transporting them. We wore goggles to protect our eyes from the brick dust and any grout that may have been accidentally flicked.
  2. Second thing we did was to get all the tools that we needed (level, trowel, tap measure and marking gage).
  3. Then we started to mark out the size of the wall to, So that we could use that as a ruff guide line. we also used it so that we knew what the lenght was.
  4.  Then we began to lay the bricks making shure that they are all level and are in a straight line. after we layed the first corse we then began to lay the second corse starting with a harlf brick and leaving a space in the middle sot that we could infill it later. we had to make shure that the bricks were inline with one another we done this useing a level. 
  5. we then layed the third course leaving a gap in the middle for two bricks. we then made shure that was all level and all the bricks were inline with one another. we carryed on for three more courses.
  6. once we built the wall we then cleaned it and got it ready for a photo
  7. we then had to take down the wall and put the materials back clean for the next person  we also clean all the tools. we also made shoure that our work place were tidy
  8. finaly we reported that the job were done

breeze block pyramid

  1. the first thing we did was to make shure we had the correct P.P.E on. we wore gloves to protect our hands from the lime in the pug and any dust on the brese blocks.we wore goggles to protet our eyes from any pug that could have been accidentaly flicked.we wore steel toe cap boots to protect our feet ine case we were to drop one of the blocks.
  2. then we marked out the lenght on the pyramid. the bottom of the pyramid consits of three brese blocks
  3. after we marked out the the lenght we then began to lay the brese blocks. after we layed them we then made sure they were level we done this useing a spirt level
  4. then we layed the seccond stage witch consisted of two brese blocks once we had made sore that was all level we then layed and level the last one.
  5. once all the stages were complete. we then tidyed up the pyramid (makeing sure that there were no hole in the pug aroun the brick) so that it was all ready for the photos
  6. after the picture i then took it down and cleand the blocks and the equipment for the next person.
  7. finaly we cleaned up and made shure all the equipment went back. 
   

half wall

  1. first thing we did was made sore that we had the right P.P.E (gloves, goggle and steel toe cap boots). we wore goggles to protect our eyes from any brick dust or any pug that might of been accidentally flicked. we wore steel toe cap boots to protect our feet in case we were to drop any bricks while transporting them. we wore gloves to protect our hands from the lime in the pug and on the bricks. 
  2. we went and got the materials of witch was 15 facing bricks and three half bricks
  3. we then marked out the lenght of the wall and checked the floor level. we marked out the lenght of the wall so that we could use that as a ruff guild line.
  4. we then layed the first stage and made shore that it was leveland that the pug were all evenly spread.the first stage consists of 5 bricks
  5. we then layed the second stage and made shore that it was all level. the second stage consists of 4 bricks and one half brick.once we had layed the second stage we used the level to make shore we are going straight up and not cricked.
  6. we then carryed on in that order (one brick then one half brick) for the rest of the stages till we got to stage six and once that were done we cleaned up the  half wall and around the wall for the photo.
  7. once we took the photo we then took down the wall a brick at a time so that we did not make to much mess once we done that we cleaned all the equipment and put all the materials back for the next person.
  8. finaly we cleaned our work area and repoted that we were done.  

making a small pyramid of bricks

  1. first thing we did were make sure we had the correct p.p.e (goggles,gloves and boots). Goggles to protect the eyes from the brick dust, gloves to protect your hands from the lime on the bricks and in the mortar, boots  to protect your feet in case you were to drop a brick.
  2. the second thing we did was to build a platform for the mortar so that is was easier to get.
  3. then we marked out a straight line about 890mm long so that we could build it accurate
  4. then we layed the first set of brick and checked it, we checked it by using a level and a tape measure.we used the level to make sure that the bricks were in line and level and tape measure to keep checking that it was all with in 890mm with a 3mm tolerance. 
  5. we then done the same with the second level consists of 3 bricks we made shore that we positioned the first of  the three bricks half a brick length in.
  6. we done the same to the third row except we used 2 bricks once the were level we then place the last brick and leveled that and then took a picture.
  7. once we had taken the picture we then disassembled it one brick at a time.
  8. finaly we cleaned and made sure that the tools were all back.

task two moving concreat blocks

  1. We had to read our job sheet and follow the instructions so that we new what we are doing.we had to move con
  2. We then carried out a risk assesment on the Colleagues to determine whether they were capible to compleat the task or weather they needed any help
  3. Then we carried out a risk assesment on the task to see if there were any risk to the handler or any one else. It also lists any hazards. we also used it to determend the best posible way to performthe task.
  4. We then checked the deliverary ticket to see weather their were any mistakes like the quanty or the materials.
  5. We then signed the deliverary ticket and made any nessarsery changes.
  6. Then we checked our rout to see if there were any obstructions like cars, other students, closed doors or stairs ect
  7. We then put our gloves, goggles and steel toe cap boots (P.P.E). we wore glove to protect our hand from the sharp eges of the concreat blocks. we wore goggles to protect ouer eyes from the dust coming of the concreat blocks.we wore steel toe cap boots to protect our feet because the concreat are heavy and if droped coud brake your toes.
  8. Then we started to move the concreat blocks in the wheel barrowup a hill once we done this we had to go back down. we had to do thi three times.
  9. We then cleaned and tidyed the work area and put every thing back neetly.
  10. we then repoted back to the boss that the job had been done.

    task one moving bricks by hand

    The task was to move the bricks form one work area to another

    8. we then started transporting the bricks you can carry the brick two way one is to carry it janga style the other is to carry a pile of six under your arm i chose to carry them jinga style.
    9. lastly we cleaned and tidyed the work area, and reported that the job was done to the boss.  

    moving paint

    1. first we read the job sheet so that we new what we were doing. we were moving 27 pots of paint to the work shop and then we had to move it back.
    2. then we carried out a risk assessment on our colleagues to see whether they are capible of performing the task or if they need help or assistance.
    3. we then carried out a risk assessment on the job to find the best possible way to complete the task safey
    4. we then made shure that the delivery ticket had no errors with the material or the quanty of the product.
    5. then we changed all the nesserssery changes with the delivery ticket
    6. next we checked the access rout. we made shure that their were no obsticals in our way for example closed doors, stairs and other students ect.
    7. we then put on our P.P.E. The P.P.E we used consists of google to protect our eyes from any paint that could get in our eyes. we used gloves so that it wold not get on our hands and it gives some protection for our hands. we wore steel toe cap boot to protect our feet in case we were to drop the paint pot, otherwise you could end up with a broken toe.
    8. we then started to move the paint pots into the workshop and putting them into order. after we moved and sorted all of the paint we then put it back in to the supple cuboard in order.
    9. then e cleaned and tidyed the workshop where we were working
    10. finaly we repoteback to the job were done.

    moving one tone of ballast

    1. first we read our job sheet so that we new what we were doing.
    2. then we carried out a risk assessment on our colleagues to determend whether they were capable of performing the task or if they needed any help or assistance.
    3. we then done a risk assessment on our task to see whether there are any hazardest material that we were using. we also used it to find the best possible way of performing the task.
    4. then we checked the delivery ticket to make shore that we Had the right materials and the right quantity of them.
    5. we then made any necessary changes to the delivery ticket
    6. we then checked our access rout and made shore that there were no obstructions such as roads, closed door or stairs.
    7. we then made sure that we had the right p.p.e. The p.p.e we used was gloves, goggles and boots. we wore the gloves to protect our hand from the stones and the sand. we wore goggles to protect our eyes from the small stones and sand from the ballast and also because it is stored out side you don't know what could be in it.we wore boot because we are lifting heavy bag of ballast and if dropped it could brake your toe or injure it.
    8. we then started to perform the task. we were shoveling it into the wheelbarrow and then moving it to another place and then unloading it. Once we moved it all we then had to put it all back.
    9. once we moved it all back we then cleaned and tidyed the work area.
    10. finally we reported back to the boss the job were done.  

    moving ballast

    3. then we carried out a risk assessment on our task to see whether the materials we are useing are hazarders and to see wether we could be putting other people at risk. we also use this risk assessment to determent the best way to perform the task.
    4. we then checed the deliveary ticket to see whether we got the right materials and the right quantity of them
    5. next we made any nessersry changes to the deliveary ticket and then we signed it
    6. we then made sure that our access rout were clear of any obstruction such as closed doors, stairs or any other students
    7. next we made sure that we had the right p.p.e. The p.p.e we used was gloves, goggles and boots. we wore the gloves to protect our hand from the stones and the sand. we wore goggles to protect our eyes from the small stones and sand from the ballest .we wore boot because we are lifting heavy bag of ballast and if droped it could brake your toe or injure it. 
    8. we then started to move the ballast we made sure that we used our legs to lift tthe bags of ballast. we carryed one bag per person. we stacked the bags six one way and six the other.
    9. after the task had been completed we then cleaned and tidyed our work place.
    10. and finaly repoted back to the boss that the job were done.    

    moving timber

    1. we first read our job sheet so that we knew what we were doing
    2. we then carried out a risk assessment on our colleagues to see whether they are fit enogth to take part
    3. we then carried out a risk assessment on the task to see whether we could be putting anyone at risk.we also used it to determend the best posible to perform the task.
    4. after we carried out the risk assessment we then checked the deliverary ticket to make sure that we had evey thing and to make sure that we had the correct materials.
    5. after we checked the delieray ticket we then changed any nesserssy changes and finaly signed it.
    6. we then checked our access rout to make shure there were no obstructions such as closed doors, stairs or other student in our way. 
    7. next we made sure that we had the right p.p.e. the p.p.e we used was gloves, goggles and boots. we wore the gloves to protect our hand from the dust and splinters. we wore goggles to protect our eyes from the small splinters and dust coming from the timber .we wore boot because we are lifting some heavy planks of wood and if droped it could brake your toe.
    8. we then started to move the wood from store cuboard to the the class room there we sorted it in to piles sting with the longest at the bottom and the shortest at the top.after we sorted it out we then put it in to the another wood store cuboard neetly.
    9. finaly we cleaned up and reported back to the boss.
     

      moving plaster boards

      1. we first looked at our job sheet the job was to move plaster board to one room and then back. we did this to prove that we new the safe way of handling plaster board. 
      2. we then carried out a risk assessment on our colleagues to determined whether they were fit enough to carry out the task.
      3. we then carried  out a risk assessment on the task so that we could find the safest way of carry out the task.
      4. then we checked the delivery ticket to make sure that we got all the materials and the right quanty of them.
      5. we then made changes to the deliveray ticket and then we signed it.
      6.  then we checked the access rout and made shure their were no obstuctions 
      7. next we made sure that we had the right p.p.e. the p.p.e we used was gloves, goggles and boots. we wore the gloves to protect our hand from the dust. we wore goggles to protect our eyes from the small fibres coming of rom the plaster boards.we wore boot because we are lifting heavy plaster boards and if droped it could brake your toe.
      8. we stack thethe plaster boards to together and made sure that they could not fall over.
      9. finaly we cleaned up any mess that we made
